DC Breaker
This new type of solid-state DC Breaker is designed and manufactured by Astrol Electronic in Switzerland. It provides all important protection functions and is able to isolate short-circuit events in microseconds. As a fully independent component, it provides revolutionary possibilities to system integrators.

The power loss over a DC-Breaker can be several kilowatts. Therefore in most of this system a water cooling is recommended. In cases where water cooling is not possible air cooling can be done. In the case of air cooling the size of the switch is much bigger.
Application Fields：
Apart from the shipping industry, the product can also be used in renewable energy connection, battery storage applications and DC or combined DC and AC microgrids.
